Resources For Teachers: Canva

Canva Teacher Authentication

  1. Go to Canva.com and select "Log in" from the upper right hand side. 


  2. From the next screen, select "Continue with Google" and select your @taftschool.org account.

    NOTE: If there is an intervening screen asking how you will use canvas, select the option that states you are a teacher.

  3. In the upper left hand corner you will see a button that says "Join your school" underneath your initial class name.  Click on the "Join your school" link.


  4. In the screen that pops up, type "The Taft School" and then click on "The Taft School" that has the location Watertown, Connecticut below it.


  5. Canva will ask you to check the details to ensure they match your school. Click on "Request to join school."


  6. Canva will then send a message to the school account administrator (currently Sean Padgett) and he will approve your request within 24 hours (likely less). If it is an emergency and you need your account approved ASAP, please reach out to Sean directly.
