To Find Reliable Websites

To Find Additional Reliable Websites

  • Britannica Academic Articles include links to websites reviewed by Britannica editors.
  • SweetSearch, A Search Engine for Students searches only credible websites approved by research experts. (Note: Ignore first group of results labeled Ad)
  • Limit your Google search to reliable domains by including the phrase site:gov OR site:edu (gov for U.S. government agencies and edu for educational institutions in the U.S.)

Note: you can also add OR site:ac.uk to search educational institutions in the U.K. You can also try adding OR site:edu.mx searches educational institutions in Mexico, but results are disappointing.

ALSO Note that universities may allow their students to use the edu domain. If there is a tilde (~) in the address, it may be a personal student page which is not monitored by the institution.
